Things to do at Dubai Canal

So, if you are planning your Dubai Visa or Express Dubai Visa, let me help you a bit by adding one more enchanting attraction of Dubai to your travel itinerary. Dubai Canal is over three kilometres long and features amazing entertainment options at the canal side itself including shopping centre, walkways, cycling paths, restaurants and much more. The three-kilometer long project starts from Business Bay into the Persian Gulf through Safa Park and Jumeirah. The canal can be crossed by bridges which offer the most picturesque views of the city and surroundings particularly at the night.

So, if you are free in evening and just want to stroll around, then head to Dubai Canal for a leisurely walk at the pedestrian walkways and footpaths. The streetlights around the canals end up illuminating it beautifully and you can even enjoy the gorgeous fountains that start at 8 pm and continue till 10 pm at night. There are no tickets to watch the water fountains here or to stroll across this beautiful place. If you want to enjoy the evening and the beautiful sunset, reach the canal side before sunset for the enchanting vista around that follows the sunset. From the banks of the canal, you will get some mesmerizing views of the Dubai’s skyline, so carry your camera along for some beautiful pictures of this beautiful city at canal side.

You will even find the sitting areas around the canal and the greenery is just like the cherry on the top making the place even more beautiful and tranquil. One of the bridges of the canal with the blue arc can be crossed even by the cyclists and is inspired by Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco. The beautifully illuminated area of the canal is indeed a perfect attraction to visit if you are free during evening and not visiting any particular attraction of Dubai.  There are five pedestrian bridges which connect both the sides of canal and there is an esplanade “The Walk” which connects with Jumeirah Beach Running Track and is the perfect place for the joggers with a continuous track.

So, if you want to just stroll and explore the charm of Dubai yourself, then this short evening tour to Dubai Canal can be a perfect addition to your travel itinerary.

DUBAI – A DAZZLING EXPERIENCE

Dubai is one among the seven emirates and is also their capital. It is located on the Persian Gulf and is bordered by the Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the Sultanate of Oman. It is in close proximity to the Arabian Desert characterised by the sand dunes and date palm trees. Dubai has a humid climate and it is also famous for its oil that was first discovered in the year 1966. An interesting fact to note is that the first oil field discovered was named “Fateh” or “good fortune”. Soon after, Dubai was witness to massive industrialisation and infrastructural development. The revenue generated by the oil reserves were used to finance this infrastructural development. Soon their reserves of oil dried up and oil, which constituted around 24% of GDP in the year 1990, has now dropped to a very low level. The Lebanese war saw many people enter Dubai seeking a safe haven and the Gulf war hit Dubai’s financial performance but this was soon reversed. Also, post the Gulf war, the nation also hiked up its oil prices and this soon brought the nation back on track. Dubai is considered to be one among the fast growing economies in the world. Initially valued for its oil reserves, today Dubai has shifted its focus to a more tourism-oriented motive to increase their revenues. And today, Dubai is the most preferred choice for conducting any business affair. It is considered to be a tourist and business hub. Real estate and tourism are two significant aspects that make up a majority of revenue for the nation. Tourism ensures uninterrupted flow of foreign currency into its markets.

Tourism is so popular in Dubai mostly because of its shopping complexes and malls. It is statistically proven that around 14.9 million visitors visited hotels in Dubai for an overnight stay and this number is expected to rise to 20 million by the year 2020. Dubai is also famous for its “Ski Dubai”, which is an indoor skiing recreation place at the Mall of Dubai. Dubai is also a prime example of architectural splendour. The Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and the man-made artificial islands are undeniable proof of the sheer brilliance of the human mind at work. There is also the Dubai Miracle garden that used recycled water through a concept called drip irrigation to grow over forty five million flowers. Waterways, Tram, Metros, Air Transport, Road transport and all other means of transport are characterised by solid and convenient infrastructure.

Dubai is surely a place that every person who likes to travel should visit. A person has to obtain a Dubai tourist visa if he has any desire to visit Dubai. An express Dubai visa may also be obtained for reasonable causes. The Dubai tourist visa fee is reasonable when compared to the fees required to be paid by other countries. Obtaining a Dubai visa and enjoying Dubai should be top priority for any person who loves travel.

Dubai Laws to Make you Informed for your Intended Visit to Dubai

Undoubtedly, Dubai is a perfect destination for a long holiday but the laws and customs of the country are a bit strict to set a standard for right behavior according to their culture. If you are planning to visit Dubai for a holiday and have applied for your Dubai visa then it is quite important to know about the Dubai customs and laws to ensure that you do not land yourself in any problem.

Alcohol – It is acceptable to drink for the non-Muslim residents but they need to have a liquor license, which would give them the authority to drink at home and other licensed venues. Such a license is solely valid for the Emirate, which issues this license, but you still need to be cautious because getting out in public places after getting completely drunk is also a punishable offense.

Dress code – Dubai has a standard for a decent dress code, which states that the women should wear clothes, which cover the top of the arms and full legs. However, it is allowed to wear the swimming attire but only at the beaches and swimming pools.

Extramarital affair – The next important factor to be kept in mind is that sex without or outside marriage is illegal. If the authorities get to know about such an issue then you and your partner will be prone to the risk of imprisonment, prosecution, deportation or a huge fine.

Drugs – Dubai is serious about drugs with severe penalties for possession, smuggling or trafficking of drugs. The possession of drugs in even smaller quantities is illegal and the minimum penalty for such an offense is four years of imprisonment.

All the above-mentioned laws appear to be strict but overall they make Dubai one of the safest countries you can choose for a great holiday. If you take care of these above-mentioned points then it is a great place for a perfect holiday. So, don’t waste time, apply for your Dubai tourist visa, and set out for an amazing holiday after receiving your visa for Dubai.
